Sandra Sowah Marley

Chief Executive Officer

Sandra Sowah Marley FCCA is Chief Executive Officer of TaxDigit. She leads the firm and sets its direction, with overall responsibility for professional standards, quality and the service every client receives across our accountancy, tax and advisory work.

Sandra brings around 20 years of audit and accounting experience. She spent 11 years as an Audit Manager at Ernst & Young LLP in London, leading audit assignments for a wide range of organisations, and has since delivered audit, financial reporting and accounting compliance engagements across the private and public sectors, including roles with several major UK accountancy firms.

A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Sandra became an ACCA member in 2010, was admitted a Fellow in 2015 and holds an ACCA practising certificate. She also holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Warwick Business School. Her audit background shapes how TaxDigit works: accounts prepared to an audit-ready standard, sound internal controls, and practical support for clients whose companies are audited.

What Sandra brings to our clients

Audit-grade standards in every client file

Sandra’s years in audit mean TaxDigit approaches accounts the way an auditor would read them. For our clients that means accounts and tax returns that stand up to scrutiny from HMRC, banks, investors and auditors, prepared by a team led by an experienced Fellow of ACCA.

Audit-trained review

Accounts and tax returns are reviewed with the discipline of audit methodology, so figures are supported, reconciled and consistent before anything is filed.

Audit-ready year-end files

Reconciliations, working papers and supporting schedules prepared so that, where your company is audited, the audit runs smoothly and with fewer queries.

Internal controls and risk

Practical reviews of how money, approvals and records move through your business, with clear recommendations to reduce errors and risk.

Working with your auditor

Where a statutory audit is required, we prepare the accounts and supporting records, deal with audit queries and work alongside the registered audit firm you appoint.

Financial reporting and planning

Management accounts, forecasts and board reporting that give directors, lenders and investors a reliable view of performance.

Professional standards

Led by an FCCA with an ACCA practising certificate, every engagement follows clear quality, ethics and compliance standards.

What does FCCA mean?

FCCA stands for Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. ACCA admits members to fellowship after a period of continuous membership while meeting its continuing professional development requirements. Sandra became an ACCA member in 2010 and a Fellow in 2015.

Does TaxDigit carry out statutory audits?

No. A statutory audit can only be carried out by a registered audit firm, and TaxDigit is not registered as a statutory auditor. What we do is prepare accounts and records to an audit-ready standard, review internal controls, deal with audit queries and work alongside the registered audit firm you appoint.

Does my company need an audit?

Many small private companies are exempt from a statutory audit, but not all. Some companies need an audit because of their size, the group they belong to, the sector they operate in or because their shareholders ask for one. TaxDigit can review your position and, where an audit is required, prepare you for it.
