Revolut Business Account for Your New UK Company

Form your company with TaxDigit and open a Revolut Business account through our partner link — multi-currency accounts, cards with spend controls and a bank feed that runs straight into your bookkeeping.

A company without an account cannot trade

Incorporation gives your company a legal identity. It does not give it anywhere to be paid. Until there is an account in the company name, invoices cannot be settled, suppliers cannot be paid, and every transaction that goes through a personal account has to be untangled later at your cost.

TaxDigit is an affiliate partner of Revolut Business. If a business account suits you, you can apply through our partner page while your incorporation is still fresh, using the same company details we have just filed for you.

What a Revolut Business account gives you

Multi-currency accounts

Hold and exchange more than 25 currencies at the interbank rate, within your plan limits. Useful the moment you invoice or buy outside the UK.

UK details, IBAN and SWIFT

Local account details for UK payments and international ones for overseas customers, so you are not waiting on a correspondent bank.

Cards with spend controls

Physical and virtual cards for you and your team, with per-card limits and approval rules rather than a shared debit card.

Transfers to 150+ destinations

Send money internationally from the same account, without opening a separate foreign-exchange facility.

Feeds straight into your bookkeeping

Connects to Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and more than 45 other tools. If we keep your books, the bank feed arrives clean and reconciliation stops being a monthly argument.

Invoicing and expense capture

Raise invoices, track what has been paid, and capture receipts against card spend as it happens instead of in a shoebox at year end.

The partner offer

Revolut has built a co-branded page for TaxDigit clients. Sign up from that page before 31 December 2026 and then add money to your new Business account, and a one-month promotional trial of the Basic, Grow or Scale plan is applied automatically.

  • The offer is for customers who are new to Revolut Business. If you already hold an account it does not apply.
  • Subscription fees start automatically when the trial month ends. You can cancel free of charge before it does.
  • Cards you order, and their delivery, are charged separately.
  • Eligible plans and trial length can vary by offer. Revolut fees, promotion terms and Business terms and conditions apply.

How it works alongside your company formation

The sequence matters. Applying before the company exists wastes the application; applying weeks later means trading through the wrong account in the meantime.

1. We incorporate the company

TaxDigit is registered with Companies House as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP number AP019483). We run the identity verification, file the incorporation and set the share structure and SIC code with you.

2. You receive the documents an account application asks for

Certificate of incorporation, company number, registered office and the director and PSC details, all consistent with what Companies House holds. Mismatches between the two are the most common reason an application stalls.

3. You apply through our partner link

The application itself takes minutes. You use the company details we have just filed, so there is nothing to reconstruct from memory.

4. Revolut runs its own onboarding

Identity checks, business activity and source of funds are assessed by Revolut, not by us. The decision is theirs and we cannot influence or guarantee it.

5. You fund the account and we connect the feed

Once money is in, we link the account to your bookkeeping software so transactions flow through to your accounts and VAT returns without manual entry.

What you will need to hand

  • Your certificate of incorporation and company number.
  • Identity documents for every director and person with significant control.
  • A clear description of what the business actually does — vague answers slow applications down more than complicated ones.
  • Where your customers and suppliers are, and roughly what you expect to turn over.
  • A UK registered office address. We provide one if you do not have a UK premises.

If you are a director based outside the UK

This is where most of our formation clients get stuck. A UK company can be owned and run from anywhere, but several high-street banks will not open an account for a company whose directors are all overseas, and some will not start the conversation without a UK branch visit.

Revolut Business accepts applications for UK-registered companies with overseas directors, subject to its own checks. That is not a guarantee of approval, and we do not present it as one. What we can do is make sure the filing behind the application is clean: consistent addresses, a properly described trading activity, and identity verification already completed to Companies House standard.

If an application is declined, we will talk you through the other UK providers we are affiliated with rather than leaving you to start again alone.

What TaxDigit is, and what it is not

We are chartered certified accountants, not a bank. TaxDigit is a UK accountancy firm regulated by ACCA, supervised by HMRC for anti-money-laundering purposes (MLR registration XKML00000211873) and registered with Companies House as an ACSP. We do not hold client money, we are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, and we do not provide banking services.

We introduce; Revolut decides. Your account agreement is between you and Revolut. Whether your balance is covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme depends on which Revolut entity holds it and which product you use, so read Revolut’s own terms before you rely on it.

We are paid for the introduction. TaxDigit is an affiliate partner of Revolut. If you open and fund an account through the links on this page, Revolut may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra and it does not change our fees. We tell you because, as an ACCA firm, we think you are entitled to know when we have an interest in a recommendation.

This is not financial advice. We are not saying Revolut Business is the right account for every company, and we hold affiliate relationships with several UK providers. If a different account suits your business better, say so and we will help you get it.

Frequently asked questions

Does my UK limited company need its own business account?

A limited company is a separate legal person from its owners, so its money has to be kept separate from yours. There is no rule that says which provider you must use, but you do need an account in the company’s own name — running company income through a personal account creates director’s loan account problems and makes your year-end accounts far more expensive to prepare.

Can I open a Revolut Business account before my company is registered?

No. The application asks for your company number and registered details, so the company has to exist at Companies House first. In practice we incorporate the company and you apply the same day.

How long does it take to open the account?

The application itself takes a few minutes. Revolut then runs its own identity and business checks, which can complete quickly or take longer if it asks for more information. TaxDigit cannot speed that up or see where an application sits.

Can a director who lives outside the UK open a UK business account?

Revolut Business accepts applications for UK-registered companies with directors based overseas, subject to its own onboarding checks. That is a meaningful difference from several high-street banks, which decline non-resident directors or require a UK branch visit. Approval is still Revolut’s decision, not ours.

Is money held in a Revolut Business account protected by the FSCS?

It depends on which Revolut entity holds the balance and which product you are using — some balances sit with a bank and some are safeguarded e-money, and the protections are not the same. Check Revolut’s own terms for your specific account before you rely on it.

Will the account connect to my bookkeeping?

Yes. Revolut Business connects to Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and more than 45 other tools. If TaxDigit keeps your books, we link the feed once and your transactions flow through to your management accounts, VAT returns and year-end accounts without manual entry.

Does TaxDigit get paid if I open an account?

Yes. TaxDigit is an affiliate partner of Revolut and may receive a commission if you open and fund an account through the links on this page. It does not cost you anything extra and it does not change the fees you pay us. We disclose it because we are an ACCA firm and we think you should know.

What if I would rather use a different bank?

Tell us. We are affiliated with a number of UK providers and we are not tied to any one of them. We will help you open whichever account fits your business, and we will say so plainly if we think a different provider suits you better.
